Model order reduction (MOR) is a new technique to generate a smaller system from a large input and output system. The reduced order technique is an effective approach to replace a large system (normally, linear and very large) by a reduced system of lower order. An effective MOR method not only possesses good approximation precision but also preserves the essential properties of the original system, such as stability, passivity, controllability, and observability, and so on. In this talk, we will present some model order reduction methods for engineering systems, which includes asymptotic waveform evaluation (AWE), Krylov subspace techniques (Arnoldi, PRIMA, SPRIM), H2 optimal techniques, truncated balanced realization (BTR), general orthogonal polynomials methods, and nonlinear model order reduction. It is really a potential and possible power tool for simulating or designing complicated or large time-dependent systems.

主讲人概况:

蒋耀林,教育部长江学者特聘教授(2011),国务院特殊津贴专家(2006),西安交通大学首批领军学者计划领军人才(2015),教育部自然科学二等奖第二获奖人(2003),国家科学技术奖、教育部自然科学奖、教育部长江学者奖励计划等评审人,陕西省工业与应用数学学会理事长,中国工业与应用数学学会常务理事。主要研究方向为应用数学和计算数学中的先进理论分析与模拟方法等。(曾)主持国家863课题、国家973项目(科技部)子课题、国际科技合作项目(科技部)、国家自然科学基金等项目15项,出版学术专著3部,在SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing,SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis、SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications、IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking、Journal of the Franklin Institute、IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control等数学与工程杂志发表SCI检索论文140余篇。
